Last Z
I downloaded Last Z to play while I'm waiting or on the BART train commuting. Initially, I wasn't really attached to it and wanted something to just mess around on. I didn't know anything about the game except I was shooting zombies in a running forward shooter type game. Then the dimensions of the game changed where you can build your base, Heroes and troops up. You have to mine and even battle! On the surface, you Heroes are scantily clad women and while there is an element of attractive women, it really be comes a small part of the game.

I should mention that I am trying to play this game "F2P or Free to Play" as much as possible. I've always been apprehensive spending money on things that are not tangible. I have invested $3 so far.
I joined an "Alliance" and kept to myself, didn't want wars or anything as I couldn't commit to playing full time. My 1st Alliance was SARS. I then decided to leave and play solo. When I realized this is a team player game, I decided to look into joining another Alliance.
That Alliance was FTCL. I met their minimal requirements. Ever since then, I have been having soo much fun not just playing and building, but really connecting with alot of my teammates.
Base set up
After clearning out the zombies (follow a trail), small portions of the landscape open up. Eventually, you will have a good amount of space. Additional buildings you get when you upgrade your Headquarters.
I've tried to make my place a bit more organized. I tried to make it feel like a small town.
HQ and Military base, you can't move. So it's building around those.
I set up the Camp and training grounds as their own individual spaces since there are shooters, riders and assaulters. Also right behind HQ is the smelting buildings.
The last part is the set up for farm house residents.
Where are we in the grand scheme of the FTCL Collective?
Zombie Siege
I logged on to do some catching up to do and next thing I know, my screen was flashing red. I saw all these Zombies coming and I didn't know what to do. I tried to send my troops to attack them, but they weren't recognized. The Zombies would start attacking bases and setting fires, so I spent a lot of diamonds putting out fires.
2nd Zombie Siege, I got a better idea of what to do thanks to one of the core members Franium (a lot of helpful tips) and I was able to play better. It is still crazy to see a Zombie Siege LOL!

Group rallies and battles
Group battle. It's that feeling of teaming up. While every play usually rallies to fight zombie hordes or big zombies, I really do like the individual groupings and tag teaming something. You can rally and gather up in 1 large vehicle, obviously stronger, to attack a base.
If that is done, then the looting won't happen. Looting only happens when you are doing it individually. If done in a rally, it will weaken the defense.
There's that really cool aesthetic to see like 4 tanks shooting at once.
I've logged in when there was a battle going on and I started attacking a rival's tank that was shooting or chasing someone from my team.

Upgrading Base and troops:
While I am making strides to upgrade my HQ (currently at level 19), there are always things to upgraded before hand. Usually the Lab has to be upgraded. Of course the higher the level, the higher the demand for resources and time to build.

I've been struggling with resources and I haven't raided much due to low troops. One of the things I found out was to understand the structures in your base and see how they impact things. I realized that the Restaurant helps increase troop speed times (what!!! I was lagging behind on upgrading that). I was at Level 11, while everything else was Level 18.
With each event or battle, I realize I need to do more. This game has so many intricate parts, that I have only been focusing on the obvious tasks, but not really understanding the other tasks and upgrades and how it affects my base and troops. My 1st rival base attack showed me that I wasn't strong. I noticed they had more "tech" than I did and I think that made them stronger. Even though my Heroes and troops were comparable.
So I've been focusing on that as of late. Prior to that, I was trying to level up everything together at once, and that was a lot of structures! LOL.
Shout outs to the team!
